Downtown Lafayette Facade Improvement Revolving Loan Fund Program
A low interest revolving loan fund developed in cooporation with the Lafayette Neighborhoods' Economic Development Corporation (LNEDC) and the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) to assist in the exterior renovation and restoration of commercial buildings downtown. Since 1996, the program has been extended to allow participation of all eligible businesses within the taxing district of the Lafayette Centre Development District.
The DDA has an established set of design guidelines to be used by applicants who participate in the program. Improvement plans will be reviewed and approved for consistency with guidelines before a final loan approval can be granted.
The loans are available to both tenants and owners. LNEDC will
directly administer the program while the DDA will administer the design, review, and approval process.
